Further to our blog post entitled FOODS THAT IMPROVE CIRCULATION, I thought I'd share one of my favorite tea recipes which happens to contain four ingredients that are known for improving circulation (grapefruit, lemon, cayenne and ginger).
I first saw this recipe in the Oh She Glows vegan recipe book by Angela Liddon. It is a hot tea filled with deliciousness and loaded with vitamin C! I have modified it slightly by adding a small piece of ginger.
Give it a try and let me know what you think:
1. Place the tea in a teapot (or a mug that can hold up to 2 cups of liquid).
2. Let the tea steep for approximately 3 minutes, then discard the tea bag or tea leaves (to avoid a bitter tasting tea let the boiling water sit for a moment before pouring it on the tea).
2. Pour in the grapefruit and lemon juice
3. Stir in the sweetener and cayenne
